Frequently Asked Questions
Is your counselling service confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is of the utmost importance; you will always be treated respectfully in a safe and discreet environment.
Is it a demonstration of failure or weakness to need counselling?
No, far from being weak it's a sign of strength when we acknowledge that we need support and take the first steps towards making changes.
How often would I have to come?
Counselling is arranged so the client comes weekly at an agreed set day and time, the session lasts for 50 minutes.
How many counselling sessions would I need?
This is dependent upon your needs. Some clients find huge relief from just a few sessions when dealing with a specific issue. Others may find real benefit from open-ended therapy. This is discussed in the initial session; I will give my professional opinion and the work will be continuously reviewed. Most importantly your decision to continue with counselling or otherwise will always be respected.
How much does counselling cost?
My current fee is £45 and is reviewed annually
